Beskrivning av organisationen

Afyon Kocatepe University was founded in 1992, and started the educational activities at 1992-1993 academic year. We have more than 37 000 registered student. We received Erasmus Charter for Higher Education in 2004, and we apply to renew it in application periods. Our university is aware of the fact that a quality education combines academic and social facilities. Therefore, we have 40 student communities and 25 student clubs working in different fields. The theme of these communities and clubs is ranging from sports activities to volunteer activities, from philosophical communities to sports, from arts to values. We believe that the partnerships for voluntary activities will strengthen the quality and quantity to develop the welfare in the world. With ESC Quality Label, our institution will apply for capacity building projects, and this will increase our capacity to raise awareness on global issues such as equity, democracy, environment, languages, cultural exchanges and the rights of animals. In our university, many voluntary projects are carried out by our students and new volunteers will contribute to this cycle in enormous way. We are successful at many community and voluntary organizations but we believe that new perspectives will change our viewpoint and develop our ideas and projects.
